Library Books

March 23, 2016

1010828_10153354120905685_6858855037956567104_nOver Spring Break, I took Paisley on her first library trip. We had been planning a little day date for awhile and she was so excited to get a “library credit card.” :) Our public library is just a block from my store. I had been prepping her about the “rules” in this very quiet place. She did amazing and I think was a little overwhelmed when we got in there at how many books there really was.1915365_10153354124010685_698642626493999695_n1915548_10153354124065685_4721200449417242552_nWe had a discussion on responsibility and that when you check them out you have to take extra special care of them since they are not ours. She understood that when we borrow and read them, we get to return and check out more. I thought she may have a hard time understanding since we do buy a lot of books but she thought this was even better. :) I enjoyed re-living my childhood with her. I would come here often as a little girl with my mom and not much had changed other than more books and activities to do. I loved the familiar smell and had to make sure one of my most checked out and read books was still in its usual spot. And to my surprise, it was! 10295732_10153354123970685_1605718741833026444_n12009675_10153354124030685_5970657572351546581_nShe scoped out a few titles that really caught her her eye. And we made it out of there with three books to read. I will be keeping her at the store before she starts pre-k this fall so I am really excited to have this as a convenient little spot to frequent. They have neat activities, story times, crafts, etc. all summer that I can’t wait to sign her up for.988745_10153354122110685_971978993125415817_nAfter books, we went on our first snow cone date of the year and even took daddy one. :)

Spring Break + Life Lately

March 21, 2016

12472535_10153253355560916_2509202951994189564_nCatching up a bit on posting some photos. Life has been so chaotic that I haven’t been able to blog much but that is about to change soon with a new design and a lot of draft posts that are in the works.

The weekend before Spring break, my friend Jess and her little girl/Paisley’s friend came up for a visit. One minute the girls were terrorizing each other, the next besties. Check out their wedges. 😉 Jess brought us a new load of accessories to stock up the store and we love them. Scout is modeling one above.12801091_10153253355360916_1419522282678085320_n 12801317_10153253355505916_6749952822417672230_n 12804673_10153301478135685_5294893486463981454_n (1)Scout discovered mashed potatoes were her favorite food over the break and meant business when it came time to eat. That little face just melts me. Mashed taters and all.IMG_4104 IMG_4268We had a movie date to see Zootopia, Paisley had a girl’s day with Momoe and her cousins at Nanas, and I got a wild hair over the break to paint my entire kitchen and living room…..and hall. :)1915365_10153354124010685_698642626493999695_nPaisley had her first trip to the library over the break.12832489_10153341485090685_5372156857881679129_nAnd we had did a lot of front porch sittin’ with this baby love. Hope you had a wonderful week. I sure have loved this time with my little family.

Family Weekend Trip

February 22, 2016

We had a quick family trip to Branson over the weekend with my in-laws. Zack’s granny Opal hasn’t been doing so well so we went for a visit and she finally got to meet the girls! My mom-in-love rented this amazing T R E E H O U S E Cabin at a local resort down the road from granny’s place and it was the neatest place to stay.12744178_10153285654245685_7680481977890762452_n (1)We left Friday night after work so the girls could sleep and they did! The entire 6 hour drive! #praisehands I’d love to come back for a week vacation and take the girls to Branson for some fun. Paisley loved that we were literally in a tree. It was super nice inside and we had plenty of room for all 8 of us. (Zack’s sister and boyfriend came too. :) )1450045_10153285652375685_9022364081695537427_n 12715684_10153285652365685_7761592286694883019_n 12729272_10153285652785685_1321125575959179738_n12717233_10153285656325685_6373863983611548928_nWe relaxed the entire weekend which was a blessing for us. The girls got to play (they had a neat playground next to our tree house) and we got to visit and cookout.12742554_10153285652615685_5720510777771837296_n12744369_10153285652530685_3973881368695121997_n12717226_10153285652715685_2941507411913469191_n 12717735_10153285652545685_7098183157646588737_n 12728886_10153285658110685_6137717811403858968_nIt was a great time and both of the girls first long trip (more than 3+ hours) in the car. :)
