Snow Ice Cream

February 28, 2015

Cabin fever has officially set in and I am so ready for Spring. I’ve said it a million times but I am really not cut out for winter. Zack and Paisley just came in from sledding and brought in a bowl of snow so I thought I would share a little snow day recipe.

Snow Ice Cream

4 cups of clean snow

1/4 cup of sugar

1 cup of milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Mix ingredients all together and eat. 🙂

Enjoy! I hope some of you are enjoying the sunshine somewhere.

Snow Bunny

February 27, 2015

Do you like that Old Navy tag still attached? I missed that somehow before I put on her vest. #mombrain // Oklahoma has been in a Winter Wonderland for the last few weeks and I have to say that I am so over it. My winter likes to end after Christmas and then I am ready for green grass, sunshine, wildflowers, and flip flops. Zack bought Paisley a sled the other day and she has had a blast with it and is quite the little dare devil. She is up for anything.

IMG_5024The snow has started to fall again today and I can only hope that this is the last of it until next winter. I am sure our cows do too.

Goal Setting

February 18, 2015

Today I am resting and refueling my brain by having a little quiet time and doing some goal setting. The store has been a little slow since Christmas has been over but we are about to launch our website which I have been pulling my hair out with. It’s easy for me to get caught up in the everyday and ignore my quiet time or push top priorities down to the bottom of my to do list. Last night my body told me I had enough and we had a little stress scare with me and the baby. All is well but we thought it would be best for me to have some down time and relax today. This month has been crazy with three parties, Valentine orders, running the store, and just our daily lives that I have pushed it a little far.

It seems like lately it is hard to find balance. One of my main goals this week is to start having set schedules and prioritize plans. I feel like it is crucial for our family, for our work and home, and for our spiritual life.

What do you do to accomplish goals, tackle every day life, and still find your quiet time?
